I recently read a revolutionary book called Maximum Ride and the Angel Experiment, which is book one in a bestselling series called Maximum Ride by James Patterson. This book is about a group of avian human hybrids, (aka, bird kids), who call themselves the flock. They escaped from the malicious scientists that created them, and were rescued from a facility called the school by a man named Jeb Batchelder. There are six bird kids, Maximum Ride, or Max for short, (the leader,) Fang, Iggy (who is blind), Nudge, Gazzy (aka the Gasman, for reasons we aren’t going to discuss), and Angel, the youngest, at about six years old. But Jeb went missing, and they are know living on their own, in a small abandoned warehouse in the mountains. But when Angel is kidnapped by human-lupine (wolf) hybrids called Erasers, Max has to conduct a plan of action, before it is too late.
This book was amazing, well, beyond amazing, and seriously, you need to read this book. Five plus Stars

I had recently gotten this book from a library and at first, I didn't really find pleasure in it. I understand see how the crazy ideas and short chapters made such a [beautifully] thick book. I kept reading, though, for a promise made to my friend that, if she read the Hunger Games [by Suzanne Collins], I would read Maximum Ride. Soon, I came to appreciate the creativity and humor which made up for the short chapters and slightly diabolical plans. I haven't quite finished, but I suppose it isn't terrible.
